Northwest” Television Series

Beyond the world renowned ski resorts of Northwest Colorado lie quaint western
towns, inhabited by hearty individuals. Surrounded by vast tracts of ranchland
and rugged wilderness, teaming with abundant wildlife and natural beauty, these
off the beaten track, largely undiscovered national treasures deserve
recognition and desire economic viability. This is the modern day ‘American Wild
West’ and it has been largely overlooked for far too long, by tourists,
travelers, wilderness lovers, and fans of the rough riding, gun slinging days
gone by. ‘Colorado Northwest’ will bring this expansive wealth of people,
places, and history to the forefront of the American consciousness, like never
before.
THE WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY
RazorCut Entertainment, a Tucson based television production company, formerly
known as 3-D Audio Visual in Palmer, Alaska, is creating a brand new public
television series entitled ‘Colorado Northwest’. In 2001 thru 2003, Jerry Caires
and 3-D A.V. directed, edited, lead produced, and administrated the most award
winning public television series ever produced in Alaska by Alaskans, ‘Alaska
Magazine Television’. The 52 half hour episodes and 2 one hour specials,
sponsored by Holland America, reached over 70 million viewers in their first
run. The series is now rerunning four times per week on a digital satellite
channel available in 31 million homes across North America. The network’s
programming director has personally invited us to submit a new TV series for
broadcast on the network, based on the quality of our previous work. Four half
hour slots on a commercial network with similar penetration wholesale for a
minimum of $8,000 per week.
THE PROGRAM RazorCut
Entertainment is creating a high definition half hour, magazine style, public
television series in and about Northwest Colorado (26:40, black to black), at a
rate of 26 episodes per year, for national broadcast. The first two episodes are
currently in post production and feature segments about cultural heritage,
natural history, people, their communities, outdoor recreation, and much more.
The series is structured to provide informational entertainment to viewers of
all ages. The program will feature short story vignettes addressing a broad
array of topics and issues, as seen from the unique perspective of the
participating Colorado residents themselves. History, cultural heritage,
lifestyles, natural history, the arts, sports, dining, attractions, adventures,
recreational activities, and individual profiles are just a few of the limitless
story categories. Using a noncommercial approach, participants will tell their
own stories accompanied by extraordinarily beautiful High Definition video
photography. The series will be exceptionally appealing to millions of viewers
from all walks of life because of its production value and quality content.
Contributing producers will ad variety and alternative styles by submitting
segments for inclusion in the series. This
family entertainment product will document the very best of northwest Colorado,
and eventually rural regions beyond, and effectively promote travel destination
activities and genuine American lifestyles, for many years to come.
SPONSORSHIP The project is
presently soliciting underwriting agreements for a premiere. The program will
contain sponsorship tags on the head and tail, and will run with approximately
10 commercial breaks available to sponsors. An extensive web site will provide
viewers with additional information and links to Northwest Colorado. Branding is
an option now available in the development phase of the series, where a primary
sponsor may choose to closely identify the program with their specific brand,
products, and/or organization. The potential to reach millions of viewers with
an entertainment vehicle specifically designed to appeal to a wide demographic,
will deliver long term value for the region and underwriters. Reruns and
re-licensing agreements can extend the reach and impact of the series
indefinitely.
18 episodes of
"COLORADO NORTHWEST" are now recorded on HD tape.
‘ALASKAN TV’
REAL ALASKANS. REAL STORIES.
Copyright 2000-2008 Jerry Caires, RAZORCUT Entertainment . All Rights Reserved.
There are still frontiers, Great Lands that challenge and feed the human spirit.
Places where mountains stretch to
the horizon like oceans, where great predators still rule the wilderness, where
life and death race neck and neck. In a state 1/3 the size of the entire
continental US, a hearty breed of modern pioneers carve out their living, at the
top of North America. We are Alaskans. It’s time for ‘ALASKAN TV’.
Much of
the world is fascinated with the untamed wilderness, the great outdoors and the
healthy lifestyles associated with ‘back to basics country living’. The diverse
people of Alaska tell an endless stream of true stories which reach far beyond
the imagination of the typical North American television viewer.
RazorCut
is creating a brand new television series which provides consumers with
compelling and entertaining program content. Our
program features real life Alaska experiences and adventures. A host of
Alaskans, from virtually every walk of life, share their work, recreational
activities and day to day challenges. ‘ALASKAN TV’ is fast paced, intimate,
packed with information, wildlife, fascinating characters and stunningly
beautiful scenery. Photorealistic synthetic reality elements add to the unique
look of the series and provide geographic orientation for viewers.
With more
than 13 episodes, an entire season, already on tape, this series promises to
attract millions of viewers, for years to come. In addition to the
broadcast program, a companion web site will direct viewers toward sponsors and
other Alaska Travel Information Resources. The
long term benefits of exposure through such an endeavor are evident in the
success of our last broadcast project, ‘Alaska Magazine Television’ completed in
January of 2003. In 2002 AMTV became the most award winning television series
ever produced in Alaska by Alaskans, reaching millions of households across
North America every week. Our primary sponsor, Holland America, experienced a
dramatic rise in bookings after only 2 seasons (26 half hours). Today, the
series continues to re-run in television markets across the country and Alaska’s
Cruise Industry continues to reap the benefits of their initial investment.
